Our Best spikeless golf shoes 2021/2022 rankings will be where we will track our standard priced non-spiked golf shoes that come to market over the next 12 months or so. We have set our “standard” price range having a RRSP roughly between USD 100-200.
Most golfers generally do not want to spend a ton of money on their golf shoes. For most they see little return in investing in something that will be used to dig balls out of the rough and sand or puddled soaked fairways. If they are like me then the smell of a season or two is enough reason anyway to move on and find a new pair of shoes regardless of the ware and tare.
The mid-range golf shoe market is packed with options to choose from. Many manufacturers place several options in this competitive market segment hoping to cash in. With all of these options we thought it best to split the category between spikeless and spiked shoes to give you a little more comparative visibility.
Why choose a spikeless golf shoe? Feeling a little more country club than high impact golfer? Then it might be a good fit. Generally, golfers with lower swing speeds can manage without the spikes. There still are many different sole options out there in the spikeless category with varying degrees of traction. So, depending on how flat your course is and the weather conditions you intend to endure you might be fine without spikes.
Also, many golfers who find themselves still in their golf shoes after a round of golf prefer this option. While spikes work well on the course, they may have less desirable footing off of it. What is important to remember is these are still golf shoes. Just because they do not have spikes does not mean they don’t perform well on the course.
Our new golf shoe rankings lists are dynamic and limited to our top 3. Meaning, the lists may grow and/or change throughout the next 12-month period depending on what new products come to market. We do track all of the shoes we review in our Best golf shoes for 2021/2022 rankings. So, if you don’t see what you are looking for here then you can always take a look.
For the golf shoes we are paying more attention to the products launched later in the year as the starting point for our consideration. We have noticed that several manufacturers tend to follow this lifecycle for their golf shoe lines so we will follow. Then come this time next year we will move everything forward to our 2022/2023 rankings.
So, if you prefer not to be so locked in on the course and a little freer off of it then a spikeless golf shoe might be what you are looking for. If this is the case then hopefully, we can give you some ideas that will keep you hopping along.
FootJoy Superlites Xp
For those looking for a great lightweight golf shoe then the Footjoy Superlites Xp’s are well worth taking a look at. Footjoy has been synonymous for making quality golf footwear as long as I can remember and the Superlites will only strengthen their solid golf shoe lineup.
With sizes from 7 to 15 including half sizes multiplied by 4 different foot width sizing’s you could say that there is a pair of customized shoes for your feet’s needs. You really will be hard-pressed to find a shoe with more sizing options on the market. You can expect that the sizes run true to standard.
Being a lightweight spikeless shoe we would not advise them for those looking for their everyday rain shoe but the waterproofing does stand up well and comes with a 1-year guarantee. So, for the odd shower or morning conditions they will more than meet the needs of the average golfer.
One of our group gave a brand-new pair of the Superlites Xp a good working out during our DomRep golf getaway. Not only was their performance top notch their feet shoed no soreness despite the shoes being straight out of the box. There are currently 3 color options available that are more matching an elegant/professional look as opposed to someone looking for something flashy.
The last point that needs to be stated is they are available in the at the lower end of what we consider a standard priced golf shoe. Thus, the cost vs quality ratio is superb. So, if you are in the market for a high preforming, easy going shoe then grab a pair of Superlites Xp’s and give them a go.
