I have been a big fan of what Adidas has been doing with their golf shoes in the last years and the Adidas TOUR360 XT-SL Spikeless 2.0 golf shoes are another great addition to their lineup. Since we play a lot of walking golf, and quite often multiple rounds in a day, I usually have 2-3 pairs of shoes on the go at the same time during the season. The TOUR360 XT are at the top of my lineup this season and I have had nothing but good experience with them.
Off of the golf course I have a lot of troubles with my feet so it is very important for me to be able to put on a comfortable shoe since I quite often have various pains before I even start. I have had days where I can honestly say I felt better walking with them on than them off. I have wide feet with high with quite a high bridge so I am using the wide model and I have had no issue with them being too snug or having friction issues.
As far as their performance on the course itself I really found the shoe stable and secure to my feet. Despite the fact that they are spikeless golf shoes I was able to keep my feet in position and transfer the weight extremely well on my most aggressive swings.
Even on the hilliest golf rounds this year with a lot of pushing the trolley up steep angles the Adidas TOUR360 XT-SL left my feet firmly gripped as well as in control when coming down the hills as well. The waterproofing works well and keeps the feet dry. When the conditions do get a little more out of control in heavy rains, I do move to a spiked soled shoe but the TOUR360 could hold its own against the other spikeless shoes on the market.
It is a premium priced golf shoe and it performs like one so even if it might cost you a few extra dollars your feet will thank you for it, mine sure do! And this is why it tops our best golf shoes for men rankings.
Adidas TOUR360 XT-SL Spikeless 2.0’s key selling points:
Boost offers incredible energy return: The more energy you give, the more you get.
A wide fit gives your feet plenty of room to expand for enhanced comfort.
Seam-sealed and waterproof design sheds moisture to keep feet dry.
Our Runner Up – Best golf shoes for men
The runner up on our 5 best golf shoes for men is the Callaway Coronado V2. It could easily have been at the top of the ranking but for a little bias towards the spikeless shoe for over all good weather conditions. In our small group here, there are actually a couple of pairs in play and I personally still have the V1 as part of my shoe lineup and would lean heavily replacing them with the V2 when it is time.
What you are getting first off is an extremely comfortable shoe. I have no complaints with the original version and Callaway has taken it a level further. But where we see the shoe excelling is the grip and support offered from the 9 spike TPU Fusion-Lite™ outsole. When you are playing in less-than-optimal conditions is where you will appreciate the Coronado V2 the most. You are able to swing with confidence knowing your shoes will remain locked in and in balance.
The microfiber leather upper keeps the water out and your feet dry in very wet conditions so you are spending less time thinking about your feet and more time focusing on the golf ahead.
There are three color options with a little more flare than the original and with sizes from 8-14 in both a regular and wide fit most golfers will find their size. For a shoe with the quality and features of the Coronado V2 the retail price is significantly less than some of our other top shoes making Callaway’s entry a very attractive option for those looking to save a few dollars and still get their feet in a top end shoe.

Our other top picks – Best golf shoes for men
The next entry on our best golf shoes for men recommendations is the ECCO Golf Biom Cool Pro BOA. When we put up our top choices up for final debate amongst ourselves as to the order at the top of the list we came to a clear consensus. If you are willing to pay the additional premium then this just may be the best shoe out there. Maybe we should have ignored the price when making the rankings for the best golf shoe but we felt it might be at a price point some are not willing to spend.
ECCO has loaded this shoe with premium materials and innovative technology that may be unequalled on the market today. The instantly noticeable YAK leather not only looks great but is lightweight and durable which is very important as at this price you want these shoes to last, and they do. The three-year waterproof warrantee is the leader on the market and I have never heard anyone dissatisfied with the customer service they received at ECCO.
While they are only available in regular sizes those of us who have wide feet should not be too afraid since ECCO’s Freedom Fit design gives extra room in the toe box and the Boa system does a good job at fitting the shoe to the contours of the golfers’ feet providing optimal support while remaining comfortable. Only those with the widest feet may want to size up a half size but I would suggest you try first before you do.
The ECCO TRI-FI-GRIP outsole is surprisingly effective in keeping your feet from slipping in even wet conditions. I personally would not use this as my wet weather shoe, primarily due to the cost of the shoes, but for many it would more than handle the job.
If you have not had a pair of ECCO golf shoes on before I would suggest this might be a perfect time to try since I find it hard to imagine how they can make a shoe in the future that will feel and perform better than the ECCO Golf Biom Cool Pro BOA

The next spot in our Best shoes for men is the Footjoy Pro|SL Carbon Boa. The Pro|SL is another top shoe whose recent makeover has generally received very favorable reviews. The new release includes an Infinity Outsole that has both dramatically increased the number of traction points as well as heel surface area to provide the golfer with superior traction on the golf course.
The heel mounted BOA® Fit System stabilizes the foot extremely well and when coupled with an integrated Power Harness provides optimal support even with less-than-ideal footing conditions. The Pro|SL Carbon comes with a 2-year waterproof warrantee which is good news for our wet weather golfers. They are available in narrow, regular wide, and extra wide fits from sizes 7 thru 15 so there is no shortage of opportunities to find the perfect fit.
We found the Pro|SL to be one of the best-looking shoes on our ranking list. The lines, contours and color schemes have been thoughtfully designed to complement the black and white/grey color options that are currently available. They do come in as one of the more expensive options but there is a lot to like about Footjoy’s offering and your feet will be happy even if your wallet might be a little less so.

The last entry on our best golf shoes for men is the Skechers GO GOLF Elite V.4 – Prestige RF. While there are many good shoes on the market today where we felt that the Prestige RF separated itself from the pack was in offering a very comfortable “relaxed” shoe with still enough quality golf features to still be a viable option on a serious round of golf.
The V.4 comes with a new and improved traction design which does work well under normal conditions and the waterproofing is guaranteed for 2 years but where we feel this shoe thrives is for long days on the course and on your feet where your feet will thank you where the enhanced cushioning will keep a spring in your step. Your feet will stay perfectly dry in early rounds with the dew and moisture on the fairway but we feel the GO GOLF Elite V.4 – Prestige RF lacks the increased support you would be looking for in a bad weather shoe or when dealing with challenging terrain.
Even though they only in a regular fit being a relaxed fit version of the shoe it does accommodate golfers with wide feet quite well and I was able to walk comfortably without feeling constraint. For those with extremely wide feet you might want to add a half size to give yourself some extra room.
Being very competitively priced at less than half of the price of some of the more expensive shoes makes it also a great alternative when searching for a lightweight pair of shoes to pull out or as a second pair of shoes. The V4 is also very well ventilated so those long hot days on the course might won’t be as painful to the nose and smell when it is time to finally take them off.
So for those of you who are looking for a casual pair of golf shoes that perform very well on the course you should give the GO GOLF Elite V.4 – Prestige RF a look.
